Superior Court of California, Fresno County Children's Waiting Rooms

A children’s waiting room was the dream of the late Superior Court Judge Mario G. Olmos who believed that there should be a safe, nurturing and protective environment for young children to wait while parents conduct court business.

The rooms are located in the main courthouse and the B.F. Sisk Courthouse facilities. This is a free service for those who have business in the Fresno County Superior Court, including: jurors, defendants, witnesses, litigants and persons filing papers. Superior Court Business is defined as attending a court hearing in a formal capacity as a litigant or witness, attending mediation, attending a domestic violence hearing as an official support person, seeking services or conducting court business related to your own court case at the clerk’s office, action center or self-help center. The children’s waiting rooms are a community outreach project and are operated by the Central Valley Children’s Services Network of Fresno County, an organization with over 30 years of delivering accessible, caring and professional services to all families.
