In accordance with California Rule of Court, rule 2.503, a court may provide bulk distribution of only its electronic calendar, register of actions, and index. "Bulk distribution" means distribution of all, or a significant subset, of the court's electronic records. The Fresno County Superior Court is technologically able to provide the latter information, namely the case index, in this manner. Indexes are available in text file and/or spreadsheet (MS Excel) format delivered via electronic mail.
Case indexes are obtained from two separate case management systems depending on the case type requested; specifically, V2 for new Criminal and Traffic cases and BANNER for Civil and Small Claims.
In accordance with California Rule of Court, rule 2.507, the data fields provided for cases are as follows:
Criminal and Traffic cases are Defendant Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Defendant #, Filing Date, and Case Number.
Civil and Small Claims cases are Case Title, Party Name(s), Party Type, Filing Date and Case Number.
NOTE: Social security number, financial, warrant, victim, and witness information, ethnicity, age, gender, government identification number, driver's license number, and date of birth must be excluded from indexes.
Case indexes are run by month and multiple months may be requested at one time and will be included in one report. The cost is $50.00 per report. In the event that a hard copy of the report is requested there is an additional charge of 50 cents per page plus actual cost of mailing.
